Pump Stations

LASA’s collection system consists of 44 pump stations that transport flow to the LASA treatment facilities in Washington Boro and West Earl Township and to the City of Lancaster treatment facility. LASA’s pump stations vary in size from handling 2,500 gallons per day(gpd) to 8,500,000 gpd. A pumping station is a necessary component of the collection system as it allows sewer service in areas that are not conducive to flow entirely by gravity.
