Tapping Fee Rate Change - effective 10/1/2021
Please note that effective
October 1, 2021 the sanitary sewer tapping fee will increase for future
commercial and residential connections for all properties in areas served by
the Lancaster Area Sewer Authority. The new rate structure for the sanitary
sewer tapping fee will be as follows:
Residential
Capacity component: $2,061.00 per EDU
Collection component: $1,866.00 per EDU
TOTAL: $3,927.00 per EDU
Commercial
Capacity component: $8.66 per gallon, with a minimum 238 gallons
Collection component: $7.84 per gallon, with a minimum 238 gallons
TOTAL: $16.50 per gallon, with a minimum 238 gallons
If you have an existing LASA
sewer permit that has already been paid for, the previous rate will remain
valid for one year from the issued date listed on the permit. If the connection
to the LASA sewer is not made by that time, the permit must be renewed at the
new rate at time of renewal. If the permit has been paid, a credit will be
given for the amount already paid to LASA for the permit.
