Lancaster Area Sewer Authority (LASA) Earns Safety Award

The Lancaster Area Sewer Authority (LASA) was recently honored by the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA) for its outstanding safety program. The PWEA, at its annual conference in State College on June 6, 2016, presented LASA with its state-wide safety award to recognize safety excellence at a Pennsylvania wastewater treatment facility that has developed and maintains a comprehensive safety program with the goal of protecting worker health and safety. A review of LASA’s program ranked it highest among Pennsylvania treatment facilities with nine or more employees.
