On Saturday November 12th 35 volunteers helped plant over 470 trees on farmland owned by the Lancaster Area Sewer Authority (LASA) to provide a riparian buffer that helps control erosion and reduces the amount of sediment and nutrients that enter local waterways. The volunteers represented various local organizations, including the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Little Conestoga Watershed Alliance, LASA, Millersville University, and the Boy Scouts of America. The project was coordinated through LASA, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and the Little Conestoga Watershed Alliance.
