    Phase #4 Little Lower Conestoga River Interceptor Relining Project

    Project consists of the relining of approximately 4,700 feet of 48″ diameter sewer main. The project will begin just south of Columbia Ave at Stone Mill rd, heading north to Marietta Ave. LASA has contracted Spiniello Companies to perform the work. Along with the relining of the sewer mains, manhole rehabilitation will also be performed.

    Crews will be dye testing rain gutters, downspouts, area drains, etc. to determine if they are connected to the sanitary sewer system.

Tapping Fee Rate Change - effective 6/1/2024

Please note that effective June 1, 2024 the sanitary sewer tapping fee will increase for future commercial and residential connections for all properties in areas served by the Lancaster Area Sewer Authority. The new rate structure for the sanitary sewer tapping fee will be as follows:

Residential

Capacity component: $2,576.00 per EDU

Collection component: $2,274.00 per EDU

TOTAL: $4,850.00 per EDU

Commercial

Capacity component: $11.10 per gallon per day, with a minimum 232 gallons per day

Collection component: $9.80 per gallon per day, with a minimum 232 gallons per day

TOTAL: $20.90 per gallon, with a minimum 232 gallons per day

 

Tapping fees not paid by June 1, 2024, will be charged at the new rates. Existing LASA sewer permits that have already been paid for will remain valid.

The fee for reservation of capacity will increase on June 1, 2024 as well. The new fees to reserve capacity for one year will be as follows:

Residential

$175.00 per EDU

Commercial

$0.75 per gallon per day, with a minimum 232 gallons per day

Existing capacity reservations paid for prior to June 1,
2024 will remain valid through their expiration dates. Capacity reservation
renewals paid for after June 1, 2024 will be charged at the new rate.
