The work is generally defined as the Disinfection Improvements Project. The project consists of the replacement of existing hypochlorite pumps and piping, the installation of a mixer and the installation of a dechlorination system. The work is located in Manor Township, Lancaster County, PA.

The Owner is the LANCASTER AREA SEWER AUTHORITY, 130 CENTERVILLE ROAD, LANCASTER, PA 17603, Telephone 717-299-4843 extension 5830. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted via PennBid’s “Questions” tab. No questions will be accepted by phone, fax or direct e-mail. Online sealed bids for the construction will be received by the Lancaster Area Sewer Authority via the PennBid Program ( until February 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. prevailing time at which time and place, said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time, February 1, 2016 at the Susquehanna Water Pollution Control Facility, 4160 Blue Rock Road, Washington Boro, PA 17582. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at no cost at Each Bid must be accompanied by scan of the Bid security in the form of a certified check, bank check or Bid bond (in the required form) for 10% of the Bid total. The lowest responsible bidder shall submit the actual Bid Security to the Authority within three (3) business days after bid opening. The Lancaster Area Sewer Authority hereby reserves the right which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to reject any and all Bids and waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in any Bid.
